Day 2 – Cold Water Therapy

After a rough night the last thing I wanted to do was take a plunge in the tub, but by the time I had reached the back door I was ready to go for it. There wasn’t the wind chill of yesterday but the farmer had been muck spreading so the air wasn’t the best when you’re going to be taking in large breaths !

Straight in and no second thoughts. Just as cold as I remembered but I felt like I had my breathing under control much quicker than yesterday. I don’t have a timer but after what I thought was a couple of minutes I got out. On reviewing the video it was actually 2 mins 30, so maybe I should try that 30 sec increment each day.

Feeling good again and it’s definately a great way to start the day. I’m not going to track progress in anyway other than a daily update on here. I’m going to let my body and the cold do whatever without me getting in the way. I’ve done enough research already and I know the results will come over time but what I am going to do is finish my current book so I can read “The Wim Hof Method” again.

For now I’ll settle for watching a few youtube interviews of Wim talking about the benefits of the cold. This is a great interview with Rangan Chatterjee.

I’m also going to find a place for some “Breathing” techniques which will help with the really cold water when I start putting ice in (this weekend).
