Bit of a dillema this morning….it was raining. Not that I was worried about getting wet of course, I just had to put my towel in the garage so it didn’t get wet. Ok so I had to put my dressing gown in there as well. š
5 minutes was easy again and I could have done longer, but I was up late this morning and had to get ready for the school drop.
I had read that in general people were changing the water once a week. I checked the temperature this morning and it has warmed up a little so I’ll be changing the water tomorrow. I’ll also be off to Aldi to get a load of ice bags. No more cold water for me, it’s onto the hard stuff next week. Ice Ice baby.
Overall it’s been an interesting week and I’m really pleased with myself for sticking to the task and taking a plunge every morning. It really does get easier the more you do it. It’s great to experience the process and benefts first hand instead of just reading about them. I know its still early days in my cold therapy journey but i’m really pleased with what I have experienced so far.
I will be continuing with the morning dips and hope to start to experience more “changes” over the next few weeks & months. I won’t be doing anymore daily blogs on the topic but I will be putting somthing together in a few weeks when hopefully I’ll have experienced more changes.
Finally, my employers’ wellbeing team sent something out today about the weeks activities supporting Mental Health Awareness in conjunction with our Charity partner, Mental Health UK. I’ve contacted them and told them about my cold water therapy challenge. You never know, it might generate some interest and enable me to share the experience and benefits with my colleagues.
